I don't have the statistics but anecdotally at least, the long term unemployed. Once they're in that category they tend to be there permanently. Not always but many end up in that situation.Children growing up in bad families much the same. Read the court lists and it's the same surnames that keep coming up over and over especially outside the 5 major capitals. It's generational crime, the whole family's trouble and the kids don't have a chance.Just my observation but I doubt anyone, no matter how it comes about, is really going to be willing to do what it takes to actually close the gap.Government won't do it due to fear of being accused of all sorts of wrongdoings.Aboriginal people themselves won't do it because it largely means assimilation in practice.
