The Stupid People Thread

Oh dear, I've always gone for under. I'm devastated to know I'm a failed homemaker.

Back to the stupid people topic, when I was having this house built, a neighbour came in, observed the swimming pool, and said "oh, do you swim?"
Well, duh!

Julia, all it takes is a bit of courage and a flick of the wrist and you too can be a domestic goddess once again.

Phew! Saved from the ultimate failure again. Thanks, bowman.

Worked at a place once - food processing - where the Shift Supervisor wanted to know if the auger was running. So he stuck his finger in a drain hole to find out. when it took off the finger at the first joint he had his answer.....

Got lots of others too but have to recall them..

Johenmo, on the news.com.au site today there is a dreadful story of an Australian teenager who died in Thailand because he opened up the pool suction plate (it was around 4 foot I think?) to try to find his lost goggles. He was sucked into the pipe system and his body found in the main tank area. Just an awful tragedy.

I just can't fathom why you'd do that? But I grew up on a farm around machinery and knew how dangerous it is. So many city kids lead a "sanitised" lifestyle & don't experience things. Same as recent death when the car jack collapsed on someone under it.

Any time Julia. Actually you're lucky you caught me in a spare moment - what with all the guidance I'm feeding Rudd on the China troubles, there's not a lot of time left in my day for the big issues.

I am an over girl myself!

In that case Prospector, I'm quite prepared to give ground on the salad dressing issue.

I thought this story should fit into this thread just nicely....
he may end up in jail for 20 years or so...
................................quote follows !.............................

HE WAS once the pin-up boy of Australia's Generation-Y entrepreneurs.

But it seems 25-year-old Daniel Tzvetkoff has gone from a million-dollar mansion and Lamborghini to reportedly living back at home with his parents.

The internet tyro is now fighting a bitter battle with his estranged business partner, lawyer Salvatore "Sam" Sciacca, and struggling with company debts of more than $61 million that include at least $5 million in unpaid taxes, The Australian reports.

Among the items allegedly paid for with company money was a $725,000 Lamborghini; an $80,000 advanced driving course;

Well, at least he was being responsible by learning to properly drive that beast.

In non-related new:

Butchers are having 60 per cent more sex than other workers.

"Butchers are having 60 per cent more sex than other workers. "

hmmm...
but with what or whom......

Well, I must say a good friend of ours who is a butcher always has a great smile on his face! One of the happiest people I know actually. Now I know why!

actually no..I have not read the book...but I knew a couple of butchers over the years.....
and mans fascination with his tool.........jokes they play with the body parts...of animals

wonder if kiwi buthers were even happier ???

Stupid people ... where to start?

OK.
Yesterday.
Dad playing with his kids.
They were playing with one of those "Razor" scooters.
The Dad was on it, going waaaaay too fast, waaaaaaay too fast ... when he tried to turn a corner. The front wheel of the scooter slipped out from under him, sending him plummetting to the concrete. Smacked his knees, grazed his palms and really slammed his shoulder. He spent the following day (today) munching down Panadols, and being unable to do much that involved moving his right shoulder.
Please don't ask how I know so much about this stupid guy.

Read that this morning also, very sad. I would have thought those grates would have been bolted or locked in such a way that only the pool maintenance people could open them......very negligent on behalf of the resort and they should be held accountable if patrons can open them and be killed.

cheers

A friend decided to adjust his roof mounted TV antenna........almost lost two fingers on gutter as he fell........had to have surgery to save them........being a chef he lost three weeks of work and pay.

.............he got Foxtel not long after that

cheers

Hmmm......
I think I will come out of retirement and become a butcher.

They seem to have far more fun. Might need a bit of medical assistance though. LOL.

When I worked in a retail bank branch 5 years ago.....

Gen Y Customer - "Can I do a cash withdrawal here.......?"
