But far closer to previous Liberal leaders than the current one.Turnbull would always have been more at home in Labor.. nothing remotely like Menzies.
In those days, the ALP was not the party for inner the city woke or corporate interests. Like the Liberal Party, they have foresaken their base constituency.
No, but it is a rort ridden scmozzle. That is also true to form.NDIS is woke?
Not like Johnny at all, but a lot like the other Malcolm.... Which is what I really did not like about him.But far closer to previous Liberal leaders than the current one.
Unfortunately if it just because the person is bone idle, you can't say it, even if it is one of your kids.I'm sure a lot want a job. But I grew up in an area that was high unemployment and those guys are still on the dole to this day (30+ years). Some people don't want to work or join the system for multiple reasons.

That has been the whole problem since Howard lost office, politics has become media driven. But far closer to previous Liberal leaders than the current one.
At least he seemed to have some ideas and be playing the ball rather than this whole image-driven politics of nothingness we have today.
To underline the extent of the issue, one has to look no further than this forum, the media is full of chook fodder for the plebs to copy and paste, imagine if Howard was in office now with his looks, lisp and lack of charisma, he would be hammered. That has been the whole problem since Howard lost office, politics has become media driven.
It is now more about how a leader presents on the idiot box, than the policies they are presenting, hopefully people become more discerning when they have to pay for their media content.
Unlike the fossil industry who have no trouble what so ever 'handling' him...Not so Scomo the commentators have trouble handling him
It wasn't anything to do with Palmer, it was Shorten and Bowen's, brain farts that let off a blue flash and took them out of the ball park.Unlike the fossil industry who have no trouble what so ever 'handling' him...
And i'll contest that without $70 odd million from Palmer, the country would not be dealing with him now...
Go you new liberals. If there's one new idea from you, then you're a light year infront of the current clots.
Albo, *could* kick in some match winning points, but seems to be relying on the woke activists to do a number on Scomo (and probably thoroughly deserved tbh).It wasn't anything to do with Palmer, it was Shorten and Bowen's, brain farts that let off a blue flash and took them out of the ball park.
The last election was Labors to lose and they did a great job of it, pandering to the industry super funds and the Sydney/Melbourne elites, just completely losing their moral compass.
Sad really, at least Albo seems to be getting them back into the ball park.
Does it really matter, the pollies are in there for the trough, the rest is pantomime.Alas, alack, the far left rainbow coalition have the whip hand and Oz will be voting itself out if the frying pan and into the fire..
Listen to your Mam, I was born in Whitby, came here as an 8 year old.Well that's true
My mother in law, a trying woman with an Oxford accent gave me some great advice last night with some Northern wisdom (even did a creditable Yorkshire accent)
Hear all, say nowt, and rest ye content.
• On Friday Aug 13, 2021, the Morrison govt introduced a Party Registration Integrity Bill to the Commonwealth parliament. The bill would let established parties veto the use of words like "Liberal", "Labor" or "Democrats" in the names of newer, rival parties. It will also make it harder to register - or keep registered - parties, by tripling the number of members required to 1,500, unless the party has an MP ... https://theconversation.com/whos-li...ontrol-of-their-names-is-full-of-holes-166088"Came across this fledging New Liberals Party which is attempting to attract the centre of Australian politics"...
