The Amero

Well that is one hell of an idiotic video. Who believes in this stuff? What are they smoking?

True, but the purpose of this thread is not Turner's claims (he's a right wing extremist) but whether there is any credit to the claim of an Amero and American movement towards it.

I know Zeitgeist believes so.

One world currency might not be that harmful as many people believe, but will not happen unless the average world middle class is at parity.

Ahh yes, wherever the Amero is mentioned on an internet board, a mention of Zeitgeist is sure to follow close behind.

As for the purpose of the thread, isn't it obvious that there is ZERO credit to the claim of a pan-American currency? If they were going to create a new currency, why would they include the crapped out peso (instead of just letting the Mexicans to rot as they do now) and why would the so called Number 1 Financially Secure Country In The World Canada switch from their own perfectly functioning currency? I heard the Canadians recently bought a massive chunk of shares and options in an un-named Aussie gold miner (don't want to name them because I'm invested). If the situation arises that a currency such as the Amero would be nescessary, they are definitely well hedged and I really doubt anything less than military action and annexing would force them to change currencies.

If you are just asking whether or not the Americans will end up having to start all over again with a new currency, it's possible.

Just because it isn't in the main media doesn't make it an invalid idea or reality

I tend to agree with this generalisation but with the caveat aimed at a disturbing growing internet trend: Just because some imbecile could put together a half decent looking video onto the internet doesn't mean you should accept it as fact. In fact you can probably safely discard it as invalid, unreal or idiotic without too much concern.

I include the Amero and Zeitgeist crud in the above statement.

Mate, do you understand the magnitude of what you are suggesting? The foreign debt of the USA is in the trillions of dollars. Simply put, it's at a point now where they can't even pay the interest off to make a dent in the capital EVER, and it compounds every year. The USA exports inflation to the rest of the world - their dollar is so insanely hyper-inflated it beggars belief. What will happen soon is a merger with mexico and canada to form the AMERO currency, this is their only hope of consolidating a little of their debt. At the same time this screws the rest of us and takes us one step closer to global domination and control by banking cartels. He's just putting lipstick on a pig
