I'm not a big fan of the media using a politicians kids in the political point scoring game, having 4 of my own I know balancing family loyalties with work loyalties was hard enough, without trying to do it on the political scene with the media hanging around like vultures.

Realistically the depths the media plunged to with the Morrison holiday, subs, holding a hose in a bushfire etc IMO was shameful, how he kept is marriage together during his tenure, while dealing the rabid media was amazing IMO.

Hopefully Albo doesn't face the same level of harassment and bullying, in reality nobody deserves it, the politicians same as the cops in most instances they are just doing their job and 9 times out of 10 it is a thankless one.

The right leaning media is held to account by calling it the Murdoch pro right press, unfortunately no one calls out the left leaning media, which is a shame as some of it is public funded and therefore there is a public expectation it is unbiased .

It really is a shame there isn't a middle ground media, but I think it is forming through social media and on forums such as this one where people can have differing opinions and both sides can air their differences in a fairly civil and in depth way, by putting their thoughts and supporting articles that they believe up for scrutiny by the other members.
