For a SMSF the three year aspect doesn't apply. It has no expiry date.It may be worthwhile to consider a Testamentary Discretionary Trust containing a superannuation proceeds sub-trust and have the BDBN direct the proceeds to the Estate.Not really the best idea to do this stuff yourself. Engage and pay for proper legal advice on the matter. It is most certainly not a matter for DIY in my view.
