Hi guys,

A newbie here but anyway my question is, is there software that you can track live data from different stocks all at once? Say i didn't have any stocks right now but wanted to analyse the market. For instance maybe i wanted to buy shares in BHP, WOW, SANTOS to list three. Is there software that allows me to watch all three with live data and display charts? I wouldn't mind paying for such a thing.

Thanks.

You might need to ask a more specific question to get the answer you want. Sounds like you want to trade the ASX only by the securities you have quoted.

A large market maker like IG Markets provides access to a large range of international markets and instruments. Prices are delayed on some markets unless you pay the royalty for live data. SaxoBank also has a decent platform with large market access, its an omnibus model though.

If you're serious pay the money for WebIress, its live with most all the features required of a pro platform. It can be provided by many brokers offering their own clearing rates.

Hi CountryLad,

How do you find Paritech pulse vs webIress or Iress Desktop (if you have used that)?

Thanks

P.S. Sorry off topic...

The full Iress was the best around when I was using it many years ago compliments of my broker and probably still is. I haven't used WebIress. Pulse platform does all I need and make the trades elsewhere with both internet broker and a full broker.

There are many ways to arrange whatever layout you like, this one suits me - easy to click from one list to another in any of the windows.

Cheers

An old thread but worth a footnote.

I have been using Paritech Pulse for longer than I remember and on a number of occasions, as I have above, posted that I have been quite happy with them.

No longer. So, for the sake of clarity I need to update my view of Paritech Pulse.

For nearly a year their fundamental information has not been updated. Consequently, when looking for company details, financials, top 20 shareholders, etc I have had to go to different sources for the information. For the last 6 months I have been assured it is being fixed.

So in essence, I have been paying for half a resource... and keep in mind it is nearly twice the price of WebIress.

Come time to renew I asked about the lack of fundamental info and again I am told it will shortly be fixed. I asked the question whether it is appropriate for them to charge the full amount when only part of their system is working and what about some compensation for the lack of a full product for the last 12 months and until it is actually working.

You would expect some sort of response to a customer of about 20 years standing.

Yep, got a response, locked me out with no comment on the due date.

My previous recommendations for this product and the company is withdrawn. I do not like being treated in such a manner when their product is no longer as claimed.

Cheers
