Software to test trading plans

Hi all,

Well I have developed a few trading plans and would like to try them out, only problem is that I cant seem to find a program that lets me backtest on past markets.

Anybody know of any solutions?

What do you mean by "past markets"?
There are hundreds of programmes designed to back test. The initial problems are usually:
1. Getting the historical data in order to test. There are plenty of suppliers for this...free, value and expensive
2. Picking a programme that provides you with the tools you are most comfortable with.
3. Finding the time to do learn how to use it and then code up your plan.
