Software for risk management, performance tracking, system optimisation?

I'm not sure if there is any application that fits under the umbrella of quantifying risk as well as tracking the performance of a trading system. Much of this can be done with a spreadsheet I suppose, but I wouldn't mind the processes being simplified somewhat, and perhaps being prompted to consider areas of money management I would not ordinarily consider.

Something that helped me optimise things like stop placement and position sizing for my particular trading system would be ideal.

Any suggestions?

Tradesim linked to either Amibroker/Bullcharts or Metastock.
ICE addon to Metastock can go a longway to helping with optimisation of variables

Ive heard Genisis is pretty good.

Having Used metastock/TradeSim, Trading Recipes, Amibroker and Mechanica, I would suggest using Amibroker due to price and features. It is not that easy to get started with (as for most packages) but is constantly being developed and is certainly very powerful. It also has a 64 bit version which the other offerings do not yet have. There is a good user base and the software writer has just developed a plain english coding version in the latest beta.

Limited to basic entry and exit coding atm but being developed a lot further as I understand it. It is very plain english for the entry and exit code.Look here for an instructional video of how it works

Yeah, the new Wizard, i'm trialing it now...errr i mean when i have time.

Great learning tool for code dummies like myself.
