Good morning everyone, and welcome to the September 2013 stock tipping competition entry thread! :)

A quick recap of the rules for those not familiar with them:

1. You MUST have a minimum of 25 posts to enter.

2. Each entrant may choose one ASX listed stock. Options, warrants and deferred settlement shares are not permitted.

3. Stocks with a price of less than $0.01 are ineligible for the competition, as are stocks that are currently suspended from trading.

4. The winner is the entrant whose selected stock performs the best in percentage terms between September 1 and September 30.

5. The maximum number of entrants in the competition is 100.

The competition winner will receive $100. The second placegetter will win $50 and the third placegetter $25.

You have until midnight on Saturday, August 31 to enter. However, in practice, entries can be submitted until this thread is closed. No entries submitted after that can be accepted for any reason.

Those who qualify, please post your entries in this thread. Remember, once you have selected your stock, you CANNOT change it for any reason. Also, you must be qualified when you enter.

Each month we usually have some members who do not qualify for the competition but enter anyway. If someone who has selected a stock hasn't yet qualified for the competition, their stock is officially up for grabs! Just mention it when you post your entry.

Best of luck to all entrants! :D

DMA thanks Joe

Dynasty Metals (ASX Code: DMA) is implementing its strategic plan to rapidly emerge as an iron ore producer in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

Dynasty's flagship Prairie Downs Iron Project is located southwest of Mt Newman. On less than 10% of its tenement holding, Dynasty has identified a 1.4 billion tonne detrital ironstone deposit and a 23 million tonne hematite deposit.

The economic potential of detrital ironstone deposits (such as owned by Dynasty and Brockman Iron) is becoming more widely recognised . The potential development of this deposit is likely to benefit from a number of economic advantages and its strategic location in the Pilbara.

Dynasty’s project is strategically located close to Atlas, RIO, FMG and BHP

SYR

SYRAH RESOURCES LTD.

A rapidly emerging graphite company

Syrah Resources is an Australian resource company with a diversified exploration portfolio located in southeast Africa. The company is rapidly progressing its core Balama Graphite Project in Mozambique, with the aim of establishing an initial mineral resource in the March quarter, 2013.

Syrah's exploration portfolio also includes a strategic mineral sands project in Tanzania, comprising eight tenement areas, some with high grade historic heavy mineral intersections, and the recently acquired Nachingwea graphite project in Tanzania.

TPD(Talon Petroleum)- thanks Joe.

With the remediation of the Bonner 1H well on the cards and possible farmout of the Olmos project,a significant re-rating could be possible.

DML thanks

Was some huge stopping volume in Feb and then May.

Price and volume has flattened out since then.

The last couple of days a large injection of volume. I can potentially see this flying.

DTQ please Joe

might be time for some upside on these guys after taking a pounding.

JC

I'll go with BCC again this month. Thanks, Joe!

(I'd have taken TPD if it hadn't been snapped up!)

AVB kind sir,

september could be the month that the remainder of financing (approx $us12m) for the antas north copper mine is finalised (also a condition precedent for the inital provisional funding (approx us$58m) announced several months back)

which may lead to an announcement of commencement of construction of said mine

and 35m 18c director oppies expire at the end of september (sp currently approx 9c)

NWE for me again Please , They have started well testing and i can only hope they get good results
Cheers
Des

CCU please.

Rising silver price and new operations manager gives room for continued upside.

IMHO

Doray DRM for me. New producer since Aug 5 and an upper looking gold price. Could be wrong too, wooden spoon this month.:(

BLT, for another trot, please Joe.

Small cap biotech in the genetic therapy space. It may never shift, but if it does it will really pop, and Biotechs are a fad these days. It mightn't take much.

AVQ please.

The trial (to determine land rights for mining) in Solomon Islands that was meant to proceed at the beginning of this month got postponed to October, so there should be lots of ramping and speculation in September.

I do like AVB but I see it is gone, so will go with MNC. MNC has been struggling with a few issues and SP was down to 1.3 after being up to 40c a few years ago. It looks like there maybe a JV or potentially a sale on the horizon. The SP is up 300% since June. Time will tell
