The ABC Insiders propram this morning was certainly stacked;

Barry Cassidy, (ABC); Fran Kelly, (ABC); David Marr, (Fairfax).
Malcolm Farr, (News Limited).

Stephen Conroy came out smelling like a rose. Apparently the villains in the $250M handout are not Conroy and Stokes, but Abbott, Murdoch, News Limited and The Australian.
 
Fran Kelly occasionally shows some objectivity so it's disappointing that you're suggesting she didn't today. (I have recorded the programme but haven't watched it yet.)

David Marr would have to be the journalist in all of Australia whom I most absolutely loathe, particularly when he's on his refugee high horse. He sets himself up as the moral arbiter of anything on which he has an opinion, and that would probably be pretty much everything.

Yes, "The Australian" has been getting into Conroy. Just as well some aspect of the media is not afraid to do so.

Did they similarly exonerate the good Mr Garrett, Calliope?
 

I loathe David Marr also. He seems to twist logic and warp space to be able to say with absolute confidence the general tripe he produces.

I am pretty sure that Fran Kelly said that now Foxtel will get special treatment next with the anti siphoning laws being relaxed. After all, if you give one bit of media something, you have to give the others something too.
Also one of them said that in comparison to overseas the free TV is taxed heavily. My point would be they are all except one, foreign owned and don't need any favours from Australian taxpayers.

Labor and the Coalition both will do and say a lot to get the media moguls on their side, unfortunately for us.

SEOUL: North Korea is facing a new threat: networks of its own citizens feeding information about life there to South Korea and its Western allies.

The networks are the creation of a handful of defectors and South Korean human rights activists using mobile phones to pierce the country's near-total news blackout.

To build the networks, recruiters slip into China to woo the few North Koreans allowed to travel there, provide mobile phones to smuggle across the border, then post informants' phoned and texted reports on websites.
 
Nice to see these dopey communist regimes finally getting a taste of their own medicine. And to think they can control the world through their fear.

Having gone from W Germany through to Poland in the mid `60`s to find a beautiful race there that only wanted stuff from the west, nothing has changed.

There are still AK47`S and the like to control just as those soldiers did in the eastern block when I was a kid.

Stephen Conroy is no different to those gun wielding bully boys from that eastern bloc, Nth Korea, Iran, etc that bludgeon their way to their goal of dumbing down the masses.

Trouble with politicians is that they often neglect to be prepared for the backlash until its all over Red rover.

Take heed Mr. Conroy.
 
Conroy seems to be turning us into a Chinese Republic.... how dare he sensor the Internet!!!! Douche-Bag!!
