There apparently hasn't been much media comment on the 70 page court deposition made by a former Rudy Guiliani employee on a sweeping range of sex harassment, wage theft and general malfeasance behaviours by Rudy.

This seems to be because the allegations are so graphic they can't be repeated. Rudy wins the Darwin Award because he allowed/encouraged his employee to record the conversations that exposed his behavior.

Where to now ? It will be interesting to see how he defends himself against his own words.

Lawrence O'Donell has (clearly) thoroughly enjoyed skewering Rudy on successive programs.

Rudy is now officially part of the walking dead. In Jan 2020 Rudy played a critical role in lying through his teeth about the election that Trump comprehensively lost. In particular he identified and accused a couple of election workers in Georgia with fraudulently counting ballots. Rudy continued to make these claims after there were proven false.

As a result the women were targeted, trashed and relentlessly threatened and abused by the usual retinue of true Trump believers . The women have sued Rudy for defamation. Rudy has been found guilty. The trial is being run to determine damages.

WASHINGTON, Dec 11 (Reuters) - A lawyer for two Georgia election workers accused Rudy Giuliani on Monday of "destroying" his clients' reputations by falsely accusing them of working to rig the 2020 U.S. presidential election against Donald Trump.

A jury heard opening arguments in a civil defamation trial focused only on how much Giuliani will have to pay the two workers, Wandrea “Shaye” Moss, a voter registration officer, and her mother Ruby Freeman, who was a temporary worker for the election. A federal judge has already determined that the former New York mayor and Trump lawyer is liable for defamation.

Lawyers for Moss and Freeman said they would ask the jury to award tens of millions of dollars in damages at the close of the trial.

If the jury awards Freeman and Moss what they are seeking, his lawyer, Joseph Sibley said, it "will be the end of Mr. Giuliani."

The verdict is IN. The Jury in the "Rudy Giuliani Trial of the Walking Dead" has settled on a damages award. It looks like a big amount but I suspect anything over $5 m would bankrupt him anyway.

But not to worry. Donald Trump will tell him to keep denying, keep appealing and when he gets into power again Trump will reverse all the decisions and force the women to pay Rudy the $140m for making such outrageous claims.

Rudy Giuliani ordered to pay $148.1m (US) in damages for lies about election workers

Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, from Atlanta, received threats after Trump ally falsely accused them of trying to steal election

May as well hammer the point home here. What was Rudy accused of doing ? Essentially promoting one of the outrageous lies used by Donald Trump to say the election was stolen. I wonder if the right wing trash talkers on line and in print will acknowledge that one of their chief lying points was a lie ?

Nah The Flying Pig squadron will have covered the skies before that happens.;)

Mr Giuliani, who publicly claimed he would testify during the trial, ultimately opted not to take the witness stand.

He made repeated false claims that a surveillance video showed Ms Moss and Ms Freeman concealing and counting "suitcases" filled with illegal ballots at a basketball arena in Atlanta that was used to process votes during the 2020 election.

Mr Trump also singled out Ms Freeman by name in a highly publicised January 2021 phone call during which he pressured Georgia's top election officer, Brad Raffensperger, to "find" votes to overturn his narrow defeat in the state.

A state investigation found that the woman were legally and properly processing ballots. Lawyers for the two women alleged that the claims were part of a conspiracy that involved Mr Trump, his legal team and a right-wing media outlet to help Mr Trump sow doubt about the election and reverse his defeat to Democrat Joe Biden.
