It depends whether you are reading ideology or actual scienceWould have thought there would already a heap of papers on the subject given the vast numbers of marine biologists.
Nice to hear some good news for a change I stopped reading a lot research the outlook is not great.

If you're a marine biologist at James Cook Uni and you question the science, you get sacked.
That's just hell freezing over.
Research at the station focuses on climate change and bleaching, eutrophication of reef systems, carbonate chemistry, geology, sedimentation, bird ecology, sustainability and the ecology of reef organisms.
Totally agree... But didn't realise we had any heavy industries left?View attachment 191849
This is only just the start for Australia.
We have rushed into Green-Marxist RE zealotry with abandon the last two decades - fooled by Global Boiling activists.
Both sides of politics have failed to see that the first priority for Australia is energy security, and not global warming virtue signalling.
Our heavy industries are going to be crushed unless there's a rapid change.
That change will probably only come about when the general population feel the impact of zero electricity.
I'm going to invest in diesel generators.
Bring on 2 degrees warming in the near term.As everyone else wrings their hands over the climate change that is obviously entirely due to the CO2 emissions of Australia, I note two interesting developments.
1.According to Energy and Clean Air China has approved huge chunks of coal fired power generation, even as the solar and wind utilisation dropped.

2. Most countries and the Eu itself will miss the deadline to set new climate targets according to Reuters

And of course, even if they did put in a target, virtually no country is on track to meet their last set of climate goals, at least according to Climate Tracker

Ask the Chinese, the Indians, The Americans and the Europeans.b

Let's face it 3 degrees is inevitable. Look at how the freezing of the arctic isn't going too well this year.
How long before the ice cap on Greenland melts and humanity can access those delicious mining resources.

In other words pretty much everyone!Ask the Chinese, the Indians, The Americans and the Europeans.
They are the ones causing it all!

You need to brush up on your basic science Bas.Yeah. Those last 3 years of arctic ice formation are unnerving.
I wonder when the other shoe will drop and rising sea levels across the world continue to recreate our civilizations ?
Florida should be one of the first to go from wet feet to soggy buildings.
Check this out. I suspect with the new Trumpian directives it may not be allowed to stay online for long.
Sea levels are rising faster. Here’s what South Florida can expect
In the last 80 years, sea level rise has risen about a foot. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, that pace is expected to speed up.www.wusf.org
I know that the progressives and lefties here think we're all about to die because of CO2 emissions.
The last scare campaign from The Guardian was a report that the reef around Ningaloo was going through a bleaching event. I noticed it because I follow Pocock on Twit/X. I asked him if he had actually visited the site to confirm that there was any bleaching. No reply.
After my most recent visit to the GBR (4 weeks ago) where the reef is in the best condition I have ever seen, I want some first hand answers.
If anyone has a problem with CO2 emissions, target your energy in the right place.
Latest update on CO2:

Which will happen despite what Australia does, the issue that Australia has to address is do we take a logical intelligent approach, or do we continue down the tribal route, which in all probability will fail whichever way we go.You can frame it any way you like or blame all and sundry for causing the problem. You can also claim co2 emissions are not responsible it’s just a natural cycle. We have achieved 1.5 degree C rise so as Knobbly points out 3 degrees is a given (thats not including overshoot) the earth will happily carry on with out us.
"A logical intelligent approach" ? And that is what SP ?Which will happen despite what Australia does, the issue that Australia has to address is do we take a logical intelligent approach, or do we continue down the tribal route, which in all probability will fail whichever way we go.
Unlike most on here I don't know and don't profess to know, it would be a case of actually getting unaffiliated experts with open minds, from all sides and having a clear set of goals for them to aim for."A logical intelligent approach" ? And that is what SP ?
