Hello prudent market watchers,

Given the chance of US recession & probable flow-on effect to a world wide recession grows higher as the days wear on, I was wondering if anyone had an expectation of the timeframe to recovery. Specifically, there seem to be a few "wise old heads" here who have lived through previous times of economic instability & learn from the experience.

Of course we'd all like to pick the next major economic bottom to position ourselves to make the most of any subsequent recovery; what are the "signs of life" that indicate mid-recession that a recovery is starting to take place?

we talking recession as a hairline matter here? ;)

Since 1957, but excluding current...

Market declines of sub-15% are recovered relatively quickly although once a decline exceeds 20% the time to recovery usually exceeds 12-months.

a recession is 2 consecutive quarters of negative economic growth.

america is yet to experience this, or at least have the figures out to confirm the economic definition of a recession.
