Hi All

I use Quicken 2007 to track my trades and work out yearly short/long term cap gains for tax.

I hate it.

I need a simple programs that will:
- Track my short vs long term Cap Gains (or losses!)
- Would also be great if it could track my trading and investing performance.
- Note it must be simple. I do not needbells and whistles, and I do not need junk like Quicken.
- It needs to be able to suck data in from a CSV.

I use Etrade and can export to csv. Quicken has a feature in Etrade that downloads trading history however it is very unreliable.

Help. There must be plenty of you here on ASF that currently use what I need.

Software to track Trades and Cap Gains?

Hi All

I am bumping this because I find it hard to believe that no one here in the ASF community uses anything more that paper, excel or quicken to track trading performance and capital gains.

Looking for some good software to do this. I currently use Quicken 2007 which downloads my trading history from Etrade however it is buggy and cumbersome and the interface is aweful.

What do people here use that they are happy with (or unhappy with)?
