I got it just now Laurie.
Maybe being in my favourites did something?
I just highlighted the address, removed the / from the end and tried again and no problem that time.
Persistance pays off!!

Not quite sure what could be causing this. I'm not getting it myself but would like to know if it is an isolated or more common issue.

Please post in this thread if you are experiencing the same problem that laurie is having.

Is this happening every time you try to log onto ASF or just occasionally?

I stayed logged in but I got it just before when coming to the site.

I have been receiving the same error for the past 1hr. Started working 5 mins ago. Once during that time I had a message stating that the forum database was corrupt, and the technical admin would be notified.

If only some users are having trouble it could be ISP related (i'm with Internode, in adelaide).Pinging aussiestockforums.com dropped lots of requests while the fault was occurring so it certainly appeared like a reachability fault, rather than the database???

im with optus and in adelaide,havnt been able to load for about an hour or so. it has been ok throughout the day

Ok it has just now allowed me in after trying for an hr
1. It's not my firewall as I tried with it off
2. Have allowed popups for this site
3. Not IE as I also have Firefox
4. Dropped security to minium

so some issue with DNS or IPS related

Guys, the hour downtime was a seperate issue and not related to your connections. It was a problem at the datacentre.

Let me know if you have any more problems from this point on.

I've had this problem a couple of times in the last few weeks. I usually go to ASF via Favourites. When I encountered the "page is not available" screen this morning, I went bac k to Google and typed in the address. It then came up with no problems.

Still having problems tried 4:07pm Sydney time then gave up after a few ties typing now at 6:23pm

I haven't had any problems logging in via roboform but over the last week sometimes the switch to a new page is so S-L-O-W from the menu that IE times out to <page not available> probably once every 10 pages or so.

Still checking up on this. Will let you know when I figure out what the problem is. Again, if anyone else is having similar issues please let me know in this thread so I can try and establish how widespread this problem is.

I had this problem a month ago for about a week. no problems since then though.
