Has anyone on the forum ever purchased a car using private fleet or any other car buyers broker type company. Apparently you tell them exactly what you want and they tender/negotiate a better price than an individual could achieve, or so the marketing says:rolleyes:

Re: Puchasing a car from a private fleet?

Yes

I use a professional buyer.
He charges $300/ vehical.
I buy low K Ex Govt Vehicals for my "Fleet"
Will buy a one off.
Buys for any dealer or Company.
If the Govt runs them he will buy them.

I bought 2 Territories x Ambulances 6 speed Auto plus
other tricky bits 46,000 km $20k each.2008

4 Falcon Utes Standard 2007/2008 40-60,000k
$14,500 to $15,500.

2 Toyota Hiluxes. 2007/2008 Diesel
80/90,000k $30,31000.

I wouldn't buy any other way.
I lease for 4 yrs then do it all again.
This is the 3 rd time I've used him.

You just need cash to settle (Bank can deal direct with Govt) in 24 hrs of fall of hammer.

I have used Motor Brokers for the last 3 new cars I have purchased. I got the best price I could from dealers and then got them to see if they could beat it - in both cases they saved about 7.5% on what I could do. Two vehicles were bought through a broker in Sydney and one through a Melbourne broker - let me know if you'd like details and I'll see if I can locate for you.
Cheers - TU

Thanks for that information, I'm just at the information gathering stage at the moment, to buy maybe over the next 12 months. I'm sure the first thing dealers could easily remove is their 'dealer delivery charge'. Thanks again for the replies.

Its only the PROFIT that makes it expensive!
