A female Senator in Fed Govt named another Senator (male) for sexual abuse yesterday under Parliamenty Priveledge.
Revoked it last night, but then came back onto the stage today and under the same Priveledge re-named him, and then said others had given her a touch-up but wasn't naming them.
Also not prepared to go to the police about these accusations.
Is that because she would have to voice these accusations outside of the Chmaber, where she then could then be held to account.

I tend to think there is some truth in this case otherwise Dutton would have stood by his Senator.

This case aside sexual assault without witnesses serious injuries etc are pretty much impossible to prove.
Grubbs pick there opportunities to suit and it does real harm to females

Though i have my doubts about this particular case.

She may have known he was a grubb and used the information to shut down the Liberals attacks on Higgins and co.
Hard to prove in a court. She can say what she likes in parliament.

Either way. Senator Van is clearly an idiot for carrying on like that after the whole "me too" era. Once you have form you are done. To risk your whole political future on a bit of "grab ar5e" is beyond stupid. You need to be a real blind idiot to think you are getting away with it

The whole thing is beyond stupid and to think the taxpayer foots their wages is beyond the pale, that goes for all concerned, from Higgins through to Van IMO.
They have the audacity to lecture the public about their moral obligation, when they all behave like this, it's just mind boggling.
A conga line of FW's IMO.
It just makes me bloody angry, I've worked in heavy industry, mining, rough workshops in the outback and never seen this sort of behaviour, to think these people decide on the laws we have to live by. it just does my head in. :2twocents

Yep, exactly: you'd never actually SEE it :p It's like the famous double-slit experiment: the photons are particles when you're looking, but a wave when you're not.

Watched this senator last on the TV and he was shaking firmly visably.
Was this from fear of being caught out or rage from within.

Sometimes it takes one to speakout to allow others to come forth. Otherwise it appears to be an isolated incident.

Also I dislike Litteleproud saying he should resign from the senate because people vote for a party. There are plenty that vote below the line, they vote for the person.

Party voting is as far as I am concerned just a donkey vote. I do number 1 and so on for whom I feel will be working best for the community I reside in.
