Have a look at Oakeshott's popularity now in his own electorate - they're disgusted with him. Tony Windsor doesn't care as he won't be standing next time round.

I think if we were to categorise Tunbull's politics, we could bracket him with Windsor and Oakeshott. If he were an Independent he would be sitting beside them.

I googled it and Oakeshott is not only unpopular, but other independents are likely to be hurt at future elections.

The very fact that he doesn't have the present government on the ropes considering their performance must be ringing alarm bells among the party faithful and nervous backbenchers.

And there is a simple truth, Labor ran the worst election ever, starting the worst circumstances ever, and then some how Abbott's a hero for for failing to form a government from the conservative rural independents.

The longer we see the likes of Abbot, Pyne, MIrabela, Bishop, Bernardy, Morrison as the voices yelling loudest in the Liberal party the less chance they have of winning an election. Of course Labor are doing their best to lose it.
