I'll never forget his performance with Elizabeth Taylor in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof". So sad to hear of his death. He made a great contribution in so many ways.

I had a sad sense of loss when Gregory Peck died. But this is worse. I don't think that even the most cynical would say a bad word about Paul Newman (and his wife Joanne Woodward).

For me he will live in his movies.

Ms. Woodward, 78, has remained in seclusion since her husband's death on Friday. She was present, along with their three children and two children from his previous marriage, when Mr. Newman succumbed to a cancer the family had not disclosed publicly.
