Pls fill me in

Re: How do I access the trial of PairTrade Finder?

Very simple question. There is mention of a 30 day free trial; however I cannot locate the relevant page.

No smart alec responses, please.

Basically you have a title with not much info in the body, it's a bit confusing.

Opening post is "Thanks", sounds like you got what you need.

Re: How do I access the trial of PairTrade Finder?

Apologies to you grahamCC, however when the following post says `you`re welcome` the whole thread is left up in the air. Hence the reply.

Hope you find a resolution to your query. Cheers:)

Is anyone using this in Australia? I cannot get Alerts to work. After 6 years, this system still shows a profit consistently.

Yes I am using it. There is a thread here which is frequented by a few of us that use the software.

As for the alerts not working, I am unsure how to help. Have you had them working previously and now they suddenly stopped working? Or your having trouble getting it setup?

Sorry for the delay in reply. I have been in touch with new owners and they have identified the problem with emails being lack of a flag to signify SSL security if needed. I am with Bigpond and they have recently switched me to Microsoft Outlook email with huge consequences. I receive duplicates of all incoming emails. Has been happening for over a month with no solution in sight.

I am setup with the ASX 200 and trading 26 pairs.

Discovered an anomaly Monday when REG/SIP signaled an exit on REG 5.81 being 5.16 just before then signaling an enter back at 5.16 a few minutes later. On research through course of sales I found a trade with a flag of XT at 5.81. Are you aware of this type of event? If not, maybe the software needs a tweak to omit such triggers.

I am told IQFEED will be available for ASX sometime this half of year - comments?

Hi Freddy,

REG traded funny yesterday... looks like someone accidentally put in a market order for a size that way exceeded the liquidity. It spiked to a high of $5.84 shortly after open, with >10,000 shares traded. So the signal was real (in the sense that prices did trade at those levels), but you'd be very quick and lucky to be able to capture them.

Remember that the PairTrade finder records prices on "touch"... while your own trading's P&L is based on "fill". You can't always get the price indicated by the software.

P.S. REG / SIP not two stocks I'd pair up. REG has good peers in EHE and JHC.

P.P.S. Please consider moving your discussion of pairs trading and the software to this thread and you mgiht get better participation. https://www.aussiestockforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14508

Funny you should mention that as GOZ and CQR also traded in that manner yesterday - and maybe more stocks that I don't monitor. Maybe a software glitch?

Yes. Definitely someone screwed up an order or two. PMV and SKC (not me, the stock) were the other 2 traded funny. Unfortunately these are near impossible to catch unless you happen to be watching, or if you by luck have a closing order in the market that gets a fill.

When I saw REG with the last price of >$5.8, it's spread was something like 30-40c...
