Hi robots

I saw the ads- don't you have to bundle their cable plan as well? I noted data limits as well.

hello,

yes its a bundle job,

$79/mth for ADSL+2, 7 gig i think, and unlimited local phone calls, no rental etc

24mth contract, would be going from Bigpond cable to adsl+2

thankyou

in money's best of the best edition, TPG was voted no1 for internet if i recall correctly. (btw, not affliated with TPG or anything).

Ive been on an optus package before, it ended up being quite expensive.

I now just have a telstra basic home phone with TPG adsl internet and make all my calls through skype, 6c a call anywhere in the country (to home phones) as long as you can talk. , oh and free calls to anyone else who uses skype as well. I have a seperate cordless phone that hooks up through the wireless modem so dont need the pc on to use it.

Best value ive come across so far.

You might already know, but it never hurts to repeat it. DSL degrades the further away you are from the telephone exchange, unless you're within 1KM you won't be getting the speeds advertised.

Do you know how far away you are from the telephone exchange?

hello,

I think I am within a km, I live on chapel st, near alma rd, and I think the exchange is opposite the st kilda cemetary which is a couple of blocks away

I find the deal on the home phone to be what most attracts me, I currently pay $57/month for bigpond cable and around $70/mth for home phone,

only use internet of around 4-5gig/mth

thankyou
