Would anyone know whether the number of people employed by a public listed company is hidden in their financial statements / annual reports somewhere?

Would this only be confined to certain sectors?

If it is there, is there a specific term I should be looking up such as EFT as I'm unable to find this in any financial statements I've looked in so far.

Thanks

I don't think there is a legal requirement for it to be published in annual reports etc...the reason why i think there is no legal requirement for the figure to be published is because i have read quite a few annual reports and only noticed a total employees figure a couple of times.

Why do you want to know, Dominover?

Ratio analysis mainly. It's not so important though but I was wondering why there was
no mention of it in the reports I've looked at. Was thinking along the line of sales per head or those kinds of metrics.
