Good morning everyone and welcome to the November 2016 stock tipping competition entry thread! :)

This month's competition is proudly sponsored by Pepperstone - The World's Leading Forex Broker.

Pepperstone is an Online Forex (FX) Trading Broker, providing traders across the globe with cutting edge forex trading technology to offer unmatched top tier liquidity, institutional grade spreads and the security of tight financial regulation. Pepperstone offers online forex trading through multiple forex trading platforms, including Metatrader 4, Webtrader and Apps for iPhone and Android.

Get started today and get up to $600 free brokerage!

A quick recap of the rules for those not familiar with them:

1. Each entrant may choose one ASX listed stock. Options, warrants and deferred settlement shares are not permitted.

2. Stocks with a price of less than $0.01 are ineligible for the competition, as are stocks that are currently suspended from trading.

3. The winner is the entrant whose selected stock performs the best in percentage terms between November 1 and November 30.

4. The maximum number of entrants in the competition is 100.

The competition winner will receive $100. The second placegetter will win $50 and the third placegetter $25.

You have until midnight on Monday, October 31 to enter. However, in practice, entries can be submitted until this thread is closed. No entries submitted after that can be accepted for any reason.

Please post your entries in this thread. Remember, once you have selected your stock, you CANNOT change it for any reason.

Best of luck to all entrants! :D

Please don't forget to post a brief reason explaining why you chose your competition entry. One or two sentences is enough (feel free to add a chart if your reason is TA based). If your entry is the same as the previous month and the reason for choosing it is the same then feel free to just post the same explanation again. Thank you!

I choose XPE. The reason is it's a stock with high volatility. Hoping to get lucky.

AR thanks Joe

Been backing FAR for a few years too long

FAR keep giving options to board members who never directly buy FAR shares!
-- one way street
-- the option price is always too cheap

DNA for me this month.
Low PE ratio, did not slump heavily but resilience.
Thai partner put $1 M to buy at 41 cents.
Just a gamble to buy a gambling share.
The only fall back is the demise of king and uncertainty. Unfortunately that will lead more gambling (sorry to capitalize people sorrow - just like funeral directors make money when more people die)

Hi, TAS again please. It is advancing each month and one of these days soon it is due for a big bounce.:)

EOS - Electro Optical Systems.
Share price has been in the doldrums for a while, genaral downward drift as interest dissapates.
But with collaborations in space-junk tracking, and meanwhile some automated miltary weaponry development as a 'hobby', I think this stock has the potential to become fashionable, dramatically, unexpectedly, and , eerrr, sometime. Maybe.

Anyhow that's the theory. I hold.

Thanks Joe!

I think CNJ is going to be a regular of mine.

Taking a free carry approach with a microcap operating with a boom narrative (cobalt) where the company has shown it can make huge gains quickly with multiple catalyst opportunities: sentiment, cobalt news, company specific news.

Hi boys

and girls?

:)

My thought process

1. Obviously greater than .01 and on asx

2. Volatility

3. I like the chart, 1 month and 1 year ,a really simple visual inspection etc.. etc
(I'm no expert at this)

4. Fundamentals, A good story/explanation/announcement/s I didn't do that this time to lazy
I don't even know what my company does... wow

5. A synthesis of everything to weigh up the options

My pick is GGG, Currently at 0.088

Honesty I should have spent more time on research but you know only a couple days left to the end of the month

Volatility taken from asiq.com

Standard Deviation (1 Year) 175.59
1 Month Standard Deviation 27.65

More than compared to the market

Standard Deviation (1 Year) 14.84
1 Month Standard Deviation 2.57

So a good punt, not your life savings hahah

I like the chart

Really simple charts just from asx.com.au

1 year

GPP : Greenpower Energy thanks Joe.:)

Big upswing in the SP and volume of late.
Fieldwork at the Morabisi Lithium project is underway, project updates and Assays to follow some time
in November.

BOA - Boadicea Resources. Started drilling in the Fraser Range in WA. Not much likelyhood of drilling results in November. Their tenement is the nearest to and adjoining NOVA and Bollinger. IF they do strike nickel similar to or better than NOVA then this micro-cap outfit will rocket.

Thanks Joe

Big Dog and Joe
Just making sure your tip for November is FAR and not AR (as slipped the 'F' letter)/
Enjoy cup

BOL, thanks Joe.

Pricing pulling back to common fib level and the next move should be up.
BOL is not a trading candidate as the daily volume is too low. Entry is not the problem, selling when we want to might be.

BOL is only suitable for a tipping comp where no money is at risk.

AVB thanks Joe. Brazilian copper explorer, soon to be a copper producer.

Thanks
Iggy

CVT - Covata

Been on an 8 month down trend and a turning point has been reached, its death or glory.

TNG thanks. AGM approaching at the end of the month as well as the split of Mt Peake project from the other tennaments to form TRR Todd River Resources.
