NinjaTrader 8 charts don't match live IB

Hi Guys

Is anyone using IB data with Ninjatrder8?

it seems my ninjatrader platform is slightly out of sync with my IB platorm. When i look at the 1m chart for example in IB a bar might close on the high of the bar but in NT is a tick off. I have been syncing my laptop clock every day before i connect IB to NT but it is still slightly off it seems.

Any users out there know of a way to solve this?

Maybe you can try setting the clock 5 (x) seconds behind synced time?
Might be trial and error on actual seconds (x), but hopefully that works and hopefully the delay wouldn't change.

i figured it out, i was syncing the clock with TWS already open. i was under the impression that tws gets it's time data from their end, but it must be synced with my pc too.

it's fine now, will monitor over the next few days.

You've already worked it out, but in the help section for data providers there's a column for "Real-Time Timestamp". It lists IB as being "Local", meaning the timestamp is added by your computer.

I don't use NT anymore, but I used to run indicators that put a large significance on bar close. I was dismayed when I realised my bar close may not be the same as everyone else's. In forex you even have the same problem with daily bars, as different brokers have different end of day times.
