Many of our members may not be familiar with Newt.

He is a wise and astute American politician.

I was privileged to spend two days in his company on a hunting and fishing holiday in the Ozarks, some years ago.

My feeling is that with a fair press he will consign Obama to history and lead the Free World in to a new dawn.

Doesn't matter who wins they are doomed, Ron Paul is the only one who make save them but he is not a puppet so can't win.
 
I can't imagine the female half of the population voting for him given his history.

Given how wildly the polls always swing up there, anyone could be president. I certainly hope it's Ron Paul, as everyone else running is subhuman filth.

Scm, given your apparent mild dislike for Newt, may I ask you to suggest a better president for the US.

Newt exhibits an agile mind, a wide knowledge of domestic and foreign policy and a keen appreciation of the economic perils facing the free world.

Your well argued considerate view as always is welcome.

Romney's wealth also became an issue in August when news emerged of his plans to quadruple the size of a $US12 million beachfront home in San Diego, California.

He is a smart man upgrading his house when house prices are still tanking in USA and a depression looming.

Newt is eminantly corruptible and will do as the faceless people want.
I expect he will get full media support.

Scm, I quite like Ron Paul and his emails have been populating my spam folder for over 10 years. Libertarians I like.

He however has as much chance of becoming President of the USA as you do, so I'd prefer if we left him out of the conversation.

I prefer to read and consider, and will not watch the video on Newt, a fine American politician.

So post a transcript and I will comment. I do find political videos, somewhat emotive, and more suited to the ABC 730 or 4 Corners type of argument than a superior forum such as this.

It's simple, he personally got paid millions from the housing bubble he helped created, and his company got 37 million for Obama's healthcare legislation he helped pass. He has turned back on everything he has said and promised as soon as lobbyists through money at him. The "man" is a complete joke. Zero integrity.
 
Sound like the best money can buy and the ideal man USA deserves, you can bet other than Ron Paul getting elected it will be more of the same just like OZ,

If you cannot post a transcript, the video is probably a propaganda exercise by disgruntled crusties upset at the ascendancy of a man of vision and couth.

As much as I hate to say this...

Ron Paul will NEVER be president, because a country gets the government it deserves. They will end up with Obama again or Gingrich.

Isn't that just a cliche? What did we in Australia do to deserve Gillard & Co? They didn't even win the popular vote and are there by default via the Greens and Independents.
