We received a nice little bonus into the Bank the other day - $1998 for overcharging plus interest Courtesy of NAB overcharging us.

Well, I guess we should never have been charged it in the first place but it was a nice surprise. And I never realised we had been overcharged at the time - just put the cost down to not reading the fine print!

For us it was the packaging fees associated with an investment loan, but the letter said there were a number of other overcharges for different products.

Gee, if they gave back $1998, I can only imagine the other charges you are paying in other fees and trailing commissions!

I had a similar issue with the NAB recently, I had a fees deduction from my account of nearly $300, apparantly this was for TRANSFERRING MONEY BETWEEN MY OWN ACCOUNTS ON NETBANK.

The NAB are absolute rapists, I'm going to go to someone who can offer me a more competitive deal ASAP

Try ANZ. Have been with them for ever and never had a problem. Very customer friendly also.
