Just in case they might one day read this thread, I'd like to say how much I miss Prospector, Duckman and Cuttlefish. They were all great contributors with intelligence, humour and common sense.

Wow - what a great thread.

I notice Bill was claiming people could achieve 40% per week return. This was back in April 2009.

If someone had followed Bill's wise advice, started with $100, and achieved what Bill was claiming, they would now be worth....
$3.2 x 10^24

or $3,200,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

The GDP of planet earth is only $6.3 x 10^13. Thus all all Bill's followers are now each worth one billion times more than earth's GDP.

Each one could purchase the USA for cash more than ten millions times over.

Each one could buy the entire planet earth at its replacement asset value, a million times over.

From this I do not conclude that Bill wasn't speaking truthfully. My conclusion is that these people have their wealth stashed on Jupiter.
