G'day all,
I need some help with regards Metastock.
This might seem like a silly question but here goes anyway. I'd like to open a chart of, for example, Fortescue Metals Group and lay the ASX 200 Index over the top of it in order to see if it's out, or under performing the Index.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Rustaf.

Open both charts.
Tile them
Drag and drop whatever one you want on top of the other.
When prompted overlay WITHOUT scale.

Rustaf,

You could also make use of the Relative Strength Comparative indicator.

Make sure you read the manual to understand the relevance of this indicator.

Do not confuse this indicator with the Relative Strength Index.

Programmaticaly, if you MS7+ you can use the Security() function to get data out of a another instrument's datafile. You have to be aware of some of the limitations of this approach, particularly the disruption to data in one instrument that traded on days when the other didn't trade.

Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for your responses. As a newcomer to trading it's nice to get genuine help.

Thanks again.

Rustaf.
