Mentor for newbie?

Hey guys,

I'm currently learning not rushing through a course while I know I will be sitting on a demo account for long time.

Who here has a mentor to help or someone to practice with??

Hi,
The forum is a great mentor. Collectively.
Sometimes you need to read between the lines though.
Forum content can be considered in numerous ways, IE;
Factual
Fiction
Data & strategies
Opinion
Sentiment

It's the first 2 that can be hard to discern, however I don't think much fiction gets posted (intentionally).

Use the search function, educate yourself as best you can and ask questions where you get stumped or need a second, third etc opinion.

Terminology and trading psychology are the 2 key areas I believe where starters let themselves down, that and not having strategy and trade plans properly considered, all tying back to psychology.

that part is easy, you just spend less than you earn and get your savings to compound exponentially.

The devil is in the detail though, the concept takes a minute to learn, but a life time to master.

You can't go wrong with what everyone has already said. The forum is a wealth of information if you can sort good from not so good...You will quickly work out whose advice is good or not so you can start following them (hint: look up^^). I would add that the Newbie Lessons by Sir O under Beginners Lounge is a good thread to start with. Outside of the forum I think it is worth the time looking through Krassimir Petrov's youtube videos and also the educational section on babypips. Plenty of books have been recommended on here too.
