Medved Quotetracker 3.6.7. How good?

I find it good enough for my needs, and that is to get intraday price data to use in my charting package.
I do not day trade but trade using intraday data
QT has its limitations, what software does not?
I rarely have problems with the software, but they have very good support via email or on their forum.

Is anyone using this?

Seems (free) & good but how good?
It's a great piece of kit.. I've used it for years and found it very easy to setup, and it's well supported..

I'm no gun trader, but it does everything that I need and has many many bells and whistles that would (probably) cater to the more advanced traders out there..

It's free mate.. nix nada.. D/load it and try it out.. I'd be surprised if you were disappointed.. :)

Regards

Buster.

kaveman sorry I missed your post back in Feb, appreciate the content.

Buster, thanks for the info' , can you tell me if you need to give Quotetracker your online-broker information e.g. password so as to link with it ?

Cheers
Bob.

Metatrader is another good free intraday charting package. Heaps of possibilities with coding too- I havent bothered sending the data to amibroker (my weapon of choice) because I found the code I was looking for in mt4 script.

Havent used quotetracker but I hear it is quite good also; never a bad thing to know you have options though.

Cheers.

You can enter your login details with QT for auto login and price update if you want live updates (assuming your broker provides this) or you can have it prompt for a password each time.. although this would get tedious if you have the auto update set at for short period..

If 'live' updates are not particularly important and you don't mind the 20 min delayed data you can get data direct from the ASX site with no passwords etc..

You can set up price alerts, get ASX news etc etc..

I have set up one portfolio with my online broker username and password details for those days I have off and wish to view the market up to the minute, and another to get the [ASX site] delayed data so I can update the price data at EOD when I get home from work.. I have had no 'security' problems with it if that's what you are concerned about..

Buster

Its the live data I'm after so as to link with scanning software .

You have had no security problems with giving QT your private details, thats refreshing to know.

Thanks for the reply.
