cops a real good serve it might make him realise what he has been doing to WOMEN,lets not forget he's bashing women.

yes i am a thug as i would get tremendous pleasure & satisfaction out of giving newton a decent bashing.

the mental illness is a way of escaping genuine punishment & this creep will do it again for sure.you cant fix a weak character trait such as attacking the defenceless by using mental illness as an excuse.

i wonder if he has bashed his mother? reckon its a very big chance.

I don't think a good old bashing would solve the problem/issue/embarrassment MN has caused.

MN obviously has some serious mental issues that need to be treated by professionals. Tigerboi, I think your overtly aggressive attitudes towards the mentally unwell is unhealthy and a little sickening.

I'm not easily offended, however the post I read above sickens and offends me. Maybe it's time you seek some anger management treatment for yourself.

LifeChoices, I agree with your above views. So I suppose if any harm happens to MN, there is now a prime suspect, considering the public utterances Tigerboi has made.

It makes me wonder who would end up doing 3 to 5 with a big hairy boyfriend if anything really did happen.

I wouldn't want to crucify poor Matthew Newton other than to say he is an out and out Coward and as others have said before me is very selective in picking his targets.

I wonder if MedicoWallet or any other medical expert can tell us if there is a medical condition/mental illness where the offender only targets the weak and elderly like Newton does.

Whilst I do not condone TigerBoi's suggestion as a preferred option to treat MN, if the victim was my mother, grandfather, girlfriend etc I would have the same view as him.

And before any of the quasi medicos suggest I'm just another poster with no empathy for those with mental illness I can tell you from first hand experience as one that has experienced this at a fairly high level I have never had the inclination to hit a woman, or the elderly.

You would think that no matter what degree of mental illness or psychosis that someone is suffering from that you still know the difference between right & wrong.

Is MN suffering from a mental illness? Probably is.
Is MN a coward? Definitely.

So he does some stupid things, so he must have a mental illness. This is what pisses me off and puts down and labels all those that contribute to society in a positive way that have a mental disorder, I don't necessary see it as an illness.

NW is just a bad person, he may or may not have a mental disorder except for being a spoilt little brat.

Just because someone behaves badly doesn't mean they have a disorder except for being a bad person.

Tired of people using mental disorders for an excuse for bad behaviour. The vast majority of people who have a mental disorder to not inflict pain on others.

should know what it is like to be scared,defenceless & feel the terror just like
the women he bashed.dont forget these women he bashed he supposedly loved them.strange way to treat someone you love.

if it had of been joe blow he would of been locked up THE FIRST TIME,but this lowlife escapes punishment then does it again & oh please give him a break he is mentally ill & everyone just fell at his feet & said off you go take a rest in rehab.

if he is genuinely a mentally ill danger to women then he should be sectioned & given all the goodies he needs like largactil & other psyche meds he needs.i personally reckon it is a cop out which means the problem hasnt been addressed correctly.therefore this creep will assault more women.

I honestly think that he regrets what he has done, he just wants to be careful what he says to the media to avoid jail time. He must surely regret everything, he has lost everything.

Probably not locked up the first time, but I cannot disagree that good $$ can buy better lawyers.

HUNDREDS of photographs "absolutely absolved" actor Matthew Newton of a charge of punching a taxi driver, his lawyer has told North Sydney Local Court.
Lawyer Chris Murphy says 867 photographs recording, second-by-second, the alleged incident show "there is no assault".
