Log on after ETRADE takeover

I think this is because their new site can't handle all the traffic, so the existing customers are being sent back to the old site.

Try going to the new site and adding it to your favourites before logging in. Then, after logging in and being redirected to the old site, select the new site from your favourites again.

Yes, it's been painfully slow for me too, although is getting better now.

Doesn't help that all my long positions have opened at zero or down, and my two shorts are both up (the underlyings)

Edit: I take that back. It's very intermittent, sometimes refreshing okay, other times still very slow.

Yes I am having trouble logging on.
Seems to be down again today!!
I really needed to put an order in this morning!!!!
 
Just spoke to etrade & they stated the whole site was down & they couldn't give an estimate of when it would be back up.
 
Extremely annoyed!!!! Some good opportunities this morning that I'm missing out on. Still no response from ETrade

E trade site has gone crazy today, just clicked on a web page to find no trades today and quotetraker showing a volume of 314,000 in streaming real time from etrade - scratching my head.
 
i cant even log yet, just freezes on the anzs general website

this is soooo pooooor

....
 

I reckon they should be, but they probably have some fine print somewhere that says if the site goes down they can't be held accountable. Or, you can call them to trade at on line prices I suppose. Doesn't help with visability of the market though does it. And this is a holiday in most states too!!!

Still not able to logon!

I find it unbelievable that following an upgrade, they didn't have any contingency plan if there was a problem this morning.

40 mins so far and still ZIP.

I'll be making a formal complaint for sure
 
Ok, not sure if this helps anyone but I was using Firefox.

Managed to get in through IE strangely.....give it a go

Something screwy going on - last 10 trades have disappeared, even though total traded is over zero. So now I don't trust what I'm seeing.
 
May be trouble with the ASX. Seems there is alot of places having troubles. Aee "trouble with the Asx" thread.
 
Everything fine now, they must think the market does not really get getting going till 10.45am.
 
Etrade for me isnt showing the trades at all since it disappeared last time even when it happens, and its showing CDU has dropped 70%.
 
Seems to be working fine for me now.

Either that, or after an hour out in the garden in the sun I'm getting sun stroke
