I just feel like making this known that I shall never be going out clubbing with the guys when they bring their girlfriends. Never ever again...

This is the reason why... So we make it into the valley, waiting in line to go into a club and some guy walks past and pulls on one of the girlfriends' hair... I look around and she's freaking crying! So then the boyfriend has to spend the next 30mins comforting her and stuff and all the other girlfriends' feel bad so they decide to wait outside with her, and therefore all the boyfriends wait outside as well.

Scene two... After spending 30mins convincing her that she will be ok and a little pull of the hair wont land her in the triage ward at the hospital and its really not the end of the world they decide to get a slice of pizza and water, so as we're doing this some girls threw some water at us and like a few drops hit another one of the girlfriends - bam, she's crying like a newborn baby. Amazing! Ive been in the valley for over an hour, i havent actually been into a club yet, and all the guys are comforting their crying girlfriends. If I wasnt in this situation it would have been a freaking joke! Seriously!

Then they are all tired, and cold, and sleepy and it just cramps the whole night. Well Ive certaintly learnt my lesson!

I just felt the absolute urge to share this with the world...

Well as I have mentioned in my previous posts I am pretty new to all of this. I started trading in October last year. I just wanted to talk about what happened to me last week. I learned a very big lesson indeed. I put one of my stocks up for sale with my on line trading company that I deal with, the stock started to go up very rapidly so I cancelled my sell order the stock was trading at $44.78 when I cancelled.

I received an email notification to say my stock had been sold for $44.98 per share. I rang the company straight away they confirmed that I had cancelled the order 5 seconds before my stock sold, however I was told under the ASX rule there is a 1 minute window that they are allowed to use and because it was a large trade it was referred. That stock shot up to $48.55 that day. Has this happened to anyone else It was have very expensive lesson for me. What online trading companies do you use and why and what are their costs per trade. I only buy ordinary shares in Australia would also like to be able to buy offshore.

Err... how does this relate to crybaby girlfriends??:eek:
 
Oh dear... One little princess got her hair pulled. Another little princess was splashed with water.

These girls would be outright useless in anything even remotely resembling a genuine disaster or emergency, something they're almost certain to face at some point in their lives. You know, things like accidents, business failures, divorces, fires, floods and so on.

A bit of water and getting your hair pulled just doesn't rate - time to get over it girls and GROW UP.
 
I am of a different opinion.

Regarding hair pulling. Would you also think it nothing to cry about if her boyfriend gave her a slap? Don't sit there telling me that hair pulling and a slap across the face are different, the intent and result is the same for both. You needed to do something besides looking at her that she is some kinda cry baby.

What the heck were you boys doing straight after her hair got pulled? Did you go up to that girl or boy and say 'hey buddy don't do that, you should apologies.' Would you have reacted differently if it was your mother they did it to?

Sounds more like to me the she should be ditching the boyfriend and get herself a one that knows how to stand up for what is right.
 
Brings new meaning to "attention seeking wh*re" in my book. Tell them to toughen up princess!. Wrecked a whole evening of clubbing by the sounds of that to me aaronphetamine. Boys night out should be exactly that. :banghead:

High maintenance has always existed. Most girls would not cry over something like that, and I wouldn't be surprised if this girl was going through something at that time. In Australia, a girl being tugged or splashed would usually just shout obscenities and that would be the end of it, if a confrontation doesn't arise.
 
took the dog down to the dog wash today, but decided it was too cold, got out of the car to have a talk to the dog wash people.....left the keys in the car with the dog
we all stood around laughing at the dog scratching the car window, trying to get out....well we laughed until I went to get back into the car.....
it was locked......unbelievable....its hard to press the button down....
luckily I was parked in the shade...
had to wait 30 mins for the RACV to come and rescue us.....bloomin unbelievable....
not happy with the dog atm....but lesson learned....would never have occurred to me she could hit the lock button....hard enough to lock the car....

last week it cost $150 to get the locksmith.....my house keys had fallen off the car keys....I forgot to put them back on, next time I went out I grabbed the keys,,,,when I went to come back inside...you guessed it....

well there goes my sunday plans........:D

But wrecking the entire night over a brief incident with no lasting consequences? Of course the hair pulling incident shouldn't have happened, but it did and it's not as though someone was seriously hurt or anything like that.

It's the water one that's ridiculous though. Only last week I ended up as one of many on the receiving end of a drink thrown over someone's shoulder from the dance floor (accidentally I assume, everyone seemed quite happy). And it happened not once but twice, so I moved to avoid it happening again. No tears required, nobody's night wrecked. I just had a shower when I got home.:2twocents

Dam I would have bailed as soon as she started crying after the water. These kind of people normally have other issues in their lives and sitting around comforting them doesn't help anyone.

I think it's quite different. I've occasionally gently tweaked a friend's hair just in fun. If it was really a hard yank, then that's different but imo still doesn't equate with being slapped. Why couldn't she just turn round to the hair puller and state her objection, then move away.

I make a point of not going out with friends and their partners unless they've been together for at least a year. They're no fun otherwise.

Appealing to their cry for attention when the most insignificant of things happens to them just develops a dependence on outside help and reinforces their incorrect opinion that something so lightweight is something to be taken seriously.

How will these people cope when something SERIOUS does happen and no one is around to comfort them? (hint: they cant and they break)

When I have done this (bailed), I have only got apologies afterwards because they end up seeing the error of their ways. Cruel to be kind.
