I used to have Comsec as my broker but they are to expensive and only use comsec for the quotes and my watchlists.

How can ComSec be too expensive? (I know some brokers with online functions that charge 2 or 3 times the brokerage)

Thanks. The thread on IB has more answers now about having an account and the citibank sydney branch for transferring money. But, so as not to repeat what's there, I'll follow that thread and post further inquiries there.

As yonnie has mentioned, there is a thread on Brokerage/platforms are terrible in Oz", there is an online broker that charges wayyy less than what commsec or e-trade charges. As a beginner trader, and i don't put a lot of money into my trades yet, 20-30$ per trade is a lot of money to catch up to just to break even... so every dollar counts.
