As some may have noticed I have been bitching recently about rotator cuff pain. As far as I can make out without going to the Quack, it is the supraspinatus muscle which is the problem. Had a major ACL injury when younger and the area is just starting to give me @#$&.

One of my clients is the owner of the Rocktape agency here in Oz, the original kinesiology Tape.

He strapped me up after finishing the horses, so will be interesting if it helps.

Any experiences here?

I used it once on a calf strain. I think I managed to tape it so the pain wasn't as bad. Might have taken some of the strain off and shortened recovery time.

When I get pain I generally go back to working out and it fixes most problems. Had sciatica so bad I could only stand. Doctor said I would have it for life. Pain was intense and could only walk if I set my back slightly forward. Ended up saying fk it and did heavy sets of Deadlifts after trying everything else. Ended up fixing my back. Same thing with hands. Used two shot puts like tail chi balls and stopped the hand pain. The calf pain was from skipping when going from a bulk to cut phase so didn't last that long.

Got a mate soon to get stem cell on bad shoulders so that should be interesting.

NB I should have said AC (acromioclavicular) injury above not ACL injury, although I have done that in the past as well.

Onto my third day with the rock tape and I do think it is helping even though I have put in some pretty heavy work days not really giving it much rest. Actually starting to sleep better, not waking up in pain.

Encouraging enough to keep going with it and see how it plays out.

I'm stuffed if I now how it actually works but it's a little bit like Emmett therapy. It doesn't make sense, to my brain at least, but what works is real.
