Good morning everyone, and welcome to the June 2014 stock tipping competition entry thread! :)

A quick recap of the rules for those not familiar with them:

1. You MUST have a minimum of 10 posts to enter.

2. Each entrant may choose one ASX listed stock. Options, warrants and deferred settlement shares are not permitted.

3. Stocks with a price of less than $0.01 are ineligible for the competition, as are stocks that are currently suspended from trading.

4. The winner is the entrant whose selected stock performs the best in percentage terms between June 1 and June 30.

5. The maximum number of entrants in the competition is 100.

The competition winner will receive $100. The second placegetter will win $50 and the third placegetter $25.

You have until midnight on Saturday, May 31 to enter. However, in practice, entries can be submitted until this thread is closed. No entries submitted after that can be accepted for any reason.

Those who qualify, please post your entries in this thread. Remember, once you have selected your stock, you CANNOT change it for any reason. Also, you must be qualified when you enter.

Each month we usually have some members who do not qualify for the competition but enter anyway. If someone who has selected a stock hasn't yet qualified for the competition, their stock is officially up for grabs! Just mention it when you post your entry.

Best of luck to all entrants! :D

I'd like to repeat my usual reminder to those entering to please post a brief reason explaining why you chose that particular stock. One or two sentences is enough, although more is always welcome.

If the stock and the reason for entering it are the same as the previous month, please feel free to simply post the same explanation again.

Many thanks! :)

RTD oil and Gas in Alaska.

Recent seismic survey results show 20,000 acres of prospective conventional oil plays.

Farmout may soon be coming...

AVQ please.

The trial against SMM, the company they are fighting over land mining rights, is very close to an end. An announcement was released today stating that all parties have closed their cases, written submissions are to be filed by mid-June and the trial was adjourned to 23 June for oral submissions on closing.

There should be a run up in SP due to speculation as to likelihood of success, and that was evident today as it went from 1.4c to 1.7c.

AVB as usual Joe. Imminent copper producer, just had a capital raising for sophisticated investors only at a higher price (7.5) than the share price at that point (6.7). Might be another 12 months but high potential to take off any time soon.

TPD- talon petroleum again thanks Joe.

With the AGM to be held on 30th May,I would anticipate a clear direction for the company moving forward.

I would anticipate the proven olmos play to be the main focus to create value.

Best of luck to all.

Joe,

I will go for TPT this month with the pending drilling of a well with good prospects off the Moroccan Coast in early June.

The TAO-1 well is a potential company-maker for Tangiers with 190 million barrels* of net
best estimate unrisked prospective resource (gross unrisked best estimate 758 million
barrels*).

Talga Resources, TLG. thanks Joe.

A recent fund raising ann. is to accelerate graphite development and pilot plant for their tenements in Sweden.

TLG is co-sponsoring and exhibiting at the International Graphene Conference in Manchester mid June which will help their global exposure.

PRR again thanks Joe.
Prr on the verge of a major break through with C-VAC for Ovarian cancer.

FXR thanks Joe. Gotta kick on eventually with any halfarsed Chinese steel mill recovery. :)

FCR again please. Risk free speculation only. :frown:

AHZ, once more, into the breach.
As of 3rd June, closing of a cap-raising at $0.10 for eligible holders to buy in. Sophisticates and institutions have already chipped in some $8 Mil or so.

Current SP unsurprisingly flat, bobbling at or just above CR price. Even fell below a fraction last week, which was a surprise. SP has been in decline since February's $0.16+

Forthcoming prospects (or disasters - this is a biotech after all) are progress on sales of Cardiocel surgical patches, and - no specific timeline that I know of - more clinical phase-I results of some of their vaccine projects.

Thanks Joe!

NVT
Just nominated by Forbes as one of the most innovative companies in the world.

AKK AUSTIN EXPLORATION please Joe
Just raised by 20% today so time could be wrong. However keen to put full SPP offer at 1 cent and this tipping too.
Eagleford - great future

I'll go with PYM again thanks, Joe!

Main reason: gerkin took TPD, my first choice :p

But also, they've just sold their Turner Bayou assets which after years of trying and failing is only going to be seen as a positive, but they retain the ability to take an interest in the wells if the new owner operators do what Pryme couldn't. It's only a 5% interest, but given their market cap now that's actually pretty good.

If they can place the shortfall from the recent capital raising they'll be well funded for their next project. That'll be more than a month away, but we might get some idea during June, or even just movement based on speculation.

TNG thanks Joe....Too many reasons as to why I believe this will keep heading north. Already up 300% from recent lows and I believe this is just the beginning. With Woojin visiting Paul Burton the CEO in Darwin with talks on financial backing and a plant being built ect. This 20year+ mine has taken 6yrs in the making to finally start and begin to put all the pieces together. With a market cap now of $80m and a resource of 3billion if a deal is struck the recent price rise will be just the beginning.

SCI again thanks Joe.

Sticking with this stock mainly because Ian Plimer is involved:

Ian Plimer is inaugural Professor of Mining Geology (University of Adelaide) and Emeritus Professor of Earth Sciences at The University of Melbourne. Ian is considered to be the world expert on the geology of the Broken Hill orebody on which he has worked and published extensively since 1968.

Less than two days left to get your entries in for the June stock tipping competition!
