Joe the Plumber and millions of honest working class Americans, men, women and their families will lose out to pay for Obama's welfare handouts to those who don't want to work.

The drug addled underclass will pay more for their dope and the criminal topcats will ultimately be the beneficiaries.

The postmodern humanists will be in clover, in the universities, thinktanks and as community organisers wasting the money from honest taxpayers.

Its back to the future if this social worker gets in, as it looks he may.

god help America.

Hi gg, I often find myself agreeing with your posts, but we should be a bit careful using the word honest with Joe the plumber turns out he is unlicenced and honest licenced plumbers in his home state are a little upset that he has admited earning so much doing work he not qualified to do.

At least Joe was able to answer reporter's question with more inteligence than Sentor McCain's running mate, even on complex foreign policy issues.

Regards

and reported (not sure if SBS or ABC) that media scrum asked if he was or has been a member of a political party: his response - couldn't remember, so they checked and found he had - it wasn't obama's mob

GG, Unfortunately, 30 odd years of history puts the kybosh on the myth of that scenario. The graph of the national debt under various US presidents (see McCain thread), clearly shows the debt reducing slightly under Carter, skyrocketing under the supply side economic rationalism of Reagan and Bush (I), falling under Clinton, and reaching a 53 record high under Bush (II), with no discernable benefit to the populace. Clearly, the taxpayer burden has, for thirty years, been dramatically and consistently higher under the Republicans. The Republicans during all these years have put forward exactly the same type of floored argument you just have. For the US to vote in another Republican and expect a different result would be truly insane. Perhaps it is more useful to look at the evidence rather than relying on erroneous knee-jerk biases. Well it turns out that Joe's name isn't even Joe, it's Samuel. He doesn't own a plumbing business, he was thinking of buying his bosses business, but cannot as he is not registered and only makes $40k a year. So Samuel will actually be better off under the Obama plan and has even admitted that during a later interview.

Dunno about you guys but the last plumber i had at my place for a bathroom reno charged me like a wounded bull because of lack of tradesmen at time and also tried to do a shoddy job at premium prices... so hey if that plumber has to bite the bullet and do an honest days work for an honest days pay just to get along . so be it ........

dont get me started on sparkeys!

A lot of plumber’s work is straightforward and quite repetitive, so one does not have to be fully licensed to do some of the jobs.

Like changing oil filter and oil in your car, no real magic there either.

As to electricians, if I am not wrong, officially it is still illegal in NSW to change the bulb.

Yes, this whole story turns out to be quite funny. Suspect Joe/Samuel is possibly not enjoying his celebrity status as much as he may have anticipated.
