I keep hearing and reading that the people in the tsunami area are still without enough food, water, or basic medical supplies. Why? People in the evacuation centres were getting half a banana for breakfast, some 'gelatinous' drink, for lunch and it was not known what dinner would be, according to an article in today's Australian.The suggestion was that the Japanese government are insisting they have everything under control and do not want to lose face by admitting how much help they need.They are reluctantly accepting a large team of nuclear experts from the US.If this is correct, it seems pretty amoral that their pride is coming before the care of their devastated people.
