President Obama has released the long form of his birth certificate which shows he was born in Hawaii. But will this actually make any difference to the millions of people who will not accept him as President and have constructed a story that denies his right to be President? And at what stage (if ever) will senior politicans in the Republican party say flat out "this conversation is over" ?

It was interesting to read the website of the Birthers to get a idea of what is being used as political argument in America.

Not while he remains President and has access to the best counterfeiters in the world.

In my estimation he is just a shade ahead of Gillard in the "right guy" stakes.

Obama has a problem with his head swelling all the time. What a failure. I'd like to see him go too. At least Julia can claim good international relations.
 

It probably puts paid to his birth being an issue, except for the most extreme of nutters. But the run of the mill Birther will clutch at new straws. Trump is already focussing in on Obama's college qualifications and some are raising issues over the fact his religion was not listed on the long form just released.

I heard one guy say how can you convince people when they still believe the Sun goes around the Earth.
 
So when you run for president of the USA the FBI, CIA, and 100 other US agency's wouldn't be interested if you qualify for being elected president?
 
I hope its the end, now people have seen the evidence that he is a legitimate president, they can focus on how bad a president he is.
 
I can't get over the spin Trump has put on it, the certificate all but disproves his argument yet he claims victory saying he's the only one who could have made it happen.

If the Republicans can't come up with a credible candidate, Obama will be there for another four years. I doubt if America could recover from that.

Couldn't have said it better.. But I reckon the Birthers will keep talking about "natural born " Americans and destroy any chance to actually discuss how America can get out of its mess.
 
I don't think Obama is doing that bad a job, he certainly picked up a crap hand. To cop a completely corrupt banking system. China copying everything for 1/4 of the price and the whole population in denial there is anything wrong.
I think he is the best President since Morgan Freeman. The other Presidents were rubish.
 
What a non-issue. Some of the things Trump have said are amazing. Blatantly talking about going in and taking the oil... I'd love a honest president that doesn't deny that, but wow, what a disaster that would be.

The birthers now say the birth certificate is faked, who knows. I don't know how they deal with the birth announcements in the newspapers though.

Well, if he doesn't make a good president, he could make a go of being a comedian.

This is his speech at yesterday's White House Correspondents Dinner. Its great to see him being able to talk informally and make Trump, who was in the audience, look like the idiot he is.
