Anyone here using Viewpoint ?

Had an option buy order sitting in the book, got hit after a while with the the note "ASK" in the course of sales "Reason" column, does this mean the ASK side met my price and who even cares ? what exactly does this mean ?

The reason column in Courses of Sales can have "Match" which is self explanatory and "BID or ASK" , the online manual doesn't really explain.

yep, which side of the book the trade came from, as in was it a buy or was it a sell (if the shares were handed to a buyer RED or if they were bought by a buyer GREEN).

Yeah thanks mate, it's sort of what I thought, so in my case a market marker hit my bid generating a Red ASK, I guess it's represented as a red down tick on other platforms. Got time on my hands so I've been playing around with this platform, starting to think its ok for stocks and info, I've got a workaround for ETO single legs but still clunky, don't think the designers had option orders in mind which is a shame.

Next week I'll check out CMC's platform.

Volume on viewpoint XJO.ASX index charts !

XJO is an index, so what does volume relate to ?

Apparently no such thing as silly questions.

Yeah, reckon it's the most logical explanation, all the other charting programs I use omit volume on XJO when selected.

For info only serves some purpose, for actual trading it's a piece of junk.

Had high hopes for the new iress, now I think they're just taking the piss !
