What a coincidence. I was just reading The Observer/Guardian before bed, Chrissie Hynde, frontwoman for The Pretenders did a Q and A with some famous and not so famous Guardian readers. And her opinion of Iggy Pop came up.

Well, Iggy Pop offered me a song once. And we didn’t pull that off. And I always regretted that, because Iggy was always my number one when I was growing up. And then he wrote this song and he sent it to me. It was handwritten and everything. I don’t know what I did to turn him off the idea, but then I never heard from him. And he ended up doing the song with Kate Pierson [of the B-52’s]. The song was called Candy.

Thanks Garpal, was trying to keep up with your Avatar when setting up my account. You may have realised I am a fan of Iggy Pop one of the first punk rockers who is still rocking on. And on motorcycles, just bought a new blue Fatboy, to go with the old Fatboy and the KTM adventure bike. Hope to catch up with you one day and go for a ride. Was up in Townsville a while ago riding around Magnetic Island and watching Cowboys beat Penrith.

Being a little self indulgent here, but I like my avatar. I get a great deal of satisfaction when sitting in the ute or just walking amongst the cows and calves. It is something I never tire of. I guess it is something that only a few would understand, but that's just me being me.

My kids used to lay down on the grass and see who could last the longest having the cows lick them.
