Hi all,

Look, I dont want to sound a short step away from the nutty conspiracy crowd, but does anyone think that the Media and Politicians play us like a fiddle with interest rates news?

Also the old chestnut that interest rates rise under Labor. Haven't we had about 6 rises in a row? Under Liberal?? It doesn't make sense to me... but then again, I cant see that dancer in the other thread going clockwise either.

I guess I am just a victim of spin and media wash.

Long way to go to 17.5% we enjoyed under Labor a while ago.

But what is most interesting that politicians beat their chest when interest rates go down, and distance themselves on a way up, irrespectively if Liberals or Labor
 
The market, not the politicians, determines this one so there's no reason for any politican to be claiming this, that or anything else in relation to it.

Unless, that is, they are standing for election to the Federal Reserve, Bank of England or at least the Reserve Bank of Australia rather than parliament as most people know it.:2twocents
