I was invited to a Motor Trades Association AGM, they have been following the trend for quite a while, putting a study together and getting feedback from the people and industry. The partial list I gave comes from the horses mouth.Solutions have been implemented, but the reasons are so varied that it is impossible to have a fix for every single problem.Life is like that sometimes, as a 18/19 year old we are still growing, expanding our knowledge and changing. Four years is a long time for a young person, they become someone else wit different interests.It’s not the mature tradespeople that they are losing, it’s the ones that finish their apprenticeship, and the ones that have reached retirement age.
