Interesting comparison. There are alot of similarities between COVID & WW2 - interruption to normal supply lines; economies disrupted internationally to deal with an external threat; redefining the work place (introduction of women in workforce v. WFH).The major difference this time though is we are on the cusp of conflict (as opposed to post WW2 peace time if you exclude the cold war...).It's absurd to think that during a period of conflict in a region critical to energy supply, that the price of oil would be less than that during peace time.
