iShares CORE MSCI Australia ESG Leaders ETF (IESG): Launched in June 2021 on the ASX, IESG provides exposure to 107 large-, mid- and small-cap Australian companies that are ESG leaders.

(From the blurb) As such, IESG suits investors who want to increase the sustainability credentials of companies within the Australian equities component of their portfolio.

About a quarter of IESG is invested in Australian banks and insurers. Another quarter is invested in Fortescue Metals Group, Newcrest Mining and other resource companies with higher ESG ratings.

IESG is down 1.4 per cent over one year to end-November 2022

with a view that investors/ institutions are seeing little point or advantage in these fangulations, just a fad and a costly and poorly designed one at that.

.....
FT article was about the international index; the local IESG looks to track our ASX200 index , and has done marginally better over its 2 year life. Would be a hard sell?
