On Saturday 8th jan. Hugh Jackman turned up at my store, & ordered some flowers for delivery to a Mt Eliza address.
At first I almost didn't recognise him, in his casual 'scruffy' state.
Then as he spoke, I relised who it was.
A very laid back & easy-going chap, who put me at ease with a silly quip about the flowers being for the mother-inlaw etc.
Imediately afterwards, he queued up at the news agency opposite me, apparently to buy a tattslotto ticket, when some 'wowser' women started to make a fuss, saying his name out loud over & over.
Then Geoff, [manager of the news agency] comically said out loud "how's it go'n Barry"....As if he knew him... then Hugh played along & said "Yeh great" etc.
After which, the would-be autograph hunters walked away [der].
As hugh finished his purchase & began to walk off, he said in a greatful tone to Geoff "Thanks for that, I appreciate it".
I'm constantly surprised, by the number of celebs' that pass through our small shopping mall.
Has anybody else had similar encounters?
