Hello there,

Could anyone direct me where to find components of each sector index?

For example, I am looking what companies are included in XTX index (ASX All Technology).
If I Google "XTX components" I get results from Market Index website, but it only tells that index consists of 46 constituents and it's rebalanced quarterly.
Searching it on ASX website doesn't give me full details of the index neither.

On Commsec .... Quotes & Research > Sectors .... will give the 11 sectors, each of which have heat maps of Large, Medium & Small Cap components of that sector

and then CMC Markets , in Tools > Sector Analysis, and each sector will list those companies in the ASX300 that are included.

and maybe Market Index ... https://www.marketindex.com.au/asx/xej ... join up (free) and follow the pathways

there's a funny thing

S&P/ASX 200 INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (SECTOR) .... ASX: XIJ

=>all the information you want

S&P/ASX ALL TECHNOLOGY INDEX .... ASX: XTX

=> barren, empty, ("There are currently no constituents to display")

Hi Dona,
Thanks for a quick reply.
I know you wanted to help. But unfortunately, I couldn't access Commsec research. Commsec requires account to access the list.
Market Index does not provide components for each index neither. At least I couldn't find it.
Thanks anyway.

you'll need a broker account sometime

XIJ is the valid ASX tech index, XTX is not. Here are its components also in the ASX300

Amibroker has them listed in the watchlists that come pre-installed.

I don't use them and not sure if it is updated with data updates, anyone know?

Hi @Austwide

I still haven't gone down the road of Amibroker yet  but thanks for the info. @AK47 I found the XTX list in my previous post at investing.com

Go to investing.com / in the Search the website box insert AXTX / in new window it will bring up S&P/ASX All Technology (AXTX) / go down a little and you will see in blue print Components, click on that / next window displays all the 69 stocks in the XTX with, (I think) 20min delayed prices.

They used to have all the components for all the ASX Indices but stopped doing that some time ago so I was surprised to see the XTX listed there.

Thanks Debtfree. Now I can find constituents for indexes.

For XTX, yes.
But as I said before "They used to have all the components for all the ASX Indices but stopped doing that some time ago". I was surprised to see the XTX constituents listed there.
