I've added an anonymous poll to the thread.

My old man always told me there was "money in muck". I'm not sure that's what he had in mind though.

;)

Re: How successful are you.

lol - I voted $500K to $1 mill - not that I'm making that - but jeezz - did it feel good ticking that box ;)

PS in the final washup - please discount the number of (half mill to million) by 1 vote :)

Re: How successful are you.

Just wondering how I should vote if I do the following...

Sleep on cash
Wipe my butt with cash
Use cash as garden mulch
Stuff my pillows with cash
Use cash as firewood
Clean my teeth with cash
Insulate my house with cash

Shhhh, I'm a bank robber

Re: How successful are you.

Without wanting to sound like some moralising ascetic, I do hope your definition of sucess extends somewhat more broadly than simply annual income:)

Re: How successful are you.

Please explain pointr, what is there in life apart from money?

P.S. you do sound like a moralising ascetic :p:

Re: How successful are you.

I accidently swallowed a thruppence eating the christmas pudding last year so I'll select #6.

Re: How successful are you.

Umm I dunno what the natioanl average income is but over here the average is only around 50K and that is somewhat wieghted by the mining sector.

So starting at 50K is a bit unrealistic me thinks. Then again I guess it was a sucessful thread, so I spose if u rn't even earning 50k you arnt deemed to be sucessful.

Well my income is under $15k as im currently unemployed but I am spending the next 6 months backpacking the East coast......

I don't know about that clowboy. You're backpacking around the coast ... you're seeing, & experiencing a lot more than many people choose to. I'd much rather have a mass of wonderful memories in my old age, as opposed to wads of cash, so - you sound pretty successful to me!

Re: How successful are you.

How successful you are is less about what you earn and more about what you save.

Because let's face it, if you're on 50k/year, you can effectively eat at the best restaurants in Sydney twice a week or more - as long as your expenses are low.

Whereas if you have a million dollar mortgage, you can't do that even if you earn $200k, partly because of interest rates, partly because of tax.

There is, I've seen The Sopranos..."The Waste Management Business" :)

Are we taking into account PAYE income?

Backpacking the East Coast sounds like a blast, so who cares what your income is.

Farout- do you use coins or notes to clean your teeth?

Success and income are not necessairly congruous.

Hell, aren't the most successful those who earn nothing and live happily off everyone else! :cautious:

So, Whiskers - you really are a cat...

Mr MacMossy here.
Earnt a paltry $33 million AUD ( not even US dollars) last year.
Stuff that for a joke.
You have to know when your not needed, so I'm moving on to greener pastures.

Termination payout not to bad though, just a tad over $100 million AUD (bloody AUD again).

27 years old, salary 130k AUD per year plus 30k housing budget :D
i thought i was doing well but looks as if half of you are doing even better wtf
