i would say since the computer has become available within our household, i would spend from 9am to 8pm (11 hours) on a non-working day and 11 hours approx at work..

my eyes don't like me for this

also..considering it consumes so much of my time, it's possible that it interferes on me socially?

on another note.. what's that rudd want's to give every student a laptop.. i think they should go back to the good old days where they used pencil and paper!

over the last few months i have been spending 4 - 5 hours a day after work on the computer on trading related activities (studying, trading etc.). On days when i don't work i would probably average 8 - 10hours a day on the computer. Thing is i don't have to make myself do it, i just find myself doing it because i enjoy it and am intrigued by it. A fair chunk of this time is spent reading posts on ASF. Fortunately i also go to the gym 4 or 5 times a week and have a job where i spend a lot of the time on my feet and outdoors. I think it is unhealthy to not have a balance of getting outside and doing some physical activity everyday. I would say you would trade better if you have this balance.

It's now one for every two students.
They were offering the laptop only and insisted the states pay for everything else!
It cost more for the 'everything else' than the laptop!

Yep, ain't it great how election promises translate in the post election world!

4-5 hours weekdays trading + 2 -3 hours daily FPS gaming. i always have Visine handy.

Between Uni studies, work and investing I would spend around 12 hours per day at least on a computer, what little time is left gets taken up by gf gym and then the motorbike.

I am hoping that once I finish this degre then I will spend more time doing things I want!

what games do u play?

it depends on the mood most FPS games like CounterStrike,HalfLife2 etc...at the moment am getting retro so im using a couple of Emulators to play some old Nintendo,SuperNintendo,N64 games on the PC as most of the ROM's are freely available for download.
i am still a Nintendo Generation by heart old school

Interesting to see many here sharing the same interests - shares (obviously), gym, and computer games...

xyzedarteerf, I dont play very many games these days, in fact the only one I play is Counter-Strike, but I play it quite a bit. What servers do you play on?

so true, i guess the Nintendo generation are getting older

I didn't really get into the online gaming community scene, maybe one day i will, i'm playing the old CS by Digitalzone non-steam as they have the best releases.

Where can you get a good N64 emulator and roms? I never found any decent ones...

Gav... i play CS:source every now and then... Use to play it very often, but i've given it up for the time being whilst my house is being built... I'm currently in a rental house without a hardwired adsl connection so my latency stinks.

I prefer gun-game deathmatch... nice and quick whilst i wait for things to happen on the DJ :

I am currently using the best so far called Project64 game pad compatible as well full screen so no more fiddling with the keyboard.
For Rom here's a good site there temporarily down though as they were relying on donations, if your interested I manage to hoard a few PM me, maybe I have the game your after.
